Myrtle Beach Penthouse Renovation

Helping this bright young couple and their daughter renovate their Myrtle Beach condominium retreat was a welcome challenge.  It was seriously out of date, suffered from awkward architecture and did not provide enough sleeping space for their full array of visitors.  We were given a comprehensive list of must-haves, brought a contractor in that we had previously worked with and tackled the job with gusto.  In a few months time we had completely gutted and refurbished the entire place.  The owners have a friend in the porcelain tile business who they wanted to support so we chose a wood-look product for the floors which added warmth and incredible durability.  Hurricanes are not kind to the area and having the tile floors gives extra protection against inclement weather and sandy feet.  A lot of creative planning allowed for 10 people to sleep comfortably.  This was accomplished by adding two extra sleeping venues out of a walk-in closet and an odd shaped storage room.  A Murphy bed by California Closets was installed in one of them which, when not in use, made it a great playroom for the daughter.  The custom designed built-in entertainment unit was also provided by California Closets giving easy access to beach books and games in the living room.  The kitchen renovation involved removing the U-shaped peninsula and creating easy traffic flow with a convenient island.  The changes were so simply dramatic and youthful that we actually experienced happy tears from one of the owners for the reveal…just like on television!
